Checkerboard, watch-parts, a cloth ribbon that used to be tied around a box of Godiva chocolates, it's all here!
I've had this choker lying around for at least a couple of years. I managed to figure out how to make the wooden part attached to the ribbon easily enough, it was just figuring out how to make the fastening at the back that was so hard. I finally sewed on a silver hook (thoughtfully provided by my sister, Elizabeth llyzabeth.deviantart.com) and an eight-link chain that used to be attached to someone's luggage tag. The pendant is brand-new.
I plan to put this one up for sale at the Eva Gardner festival this weekend, and I don't think I'll have any trouble letting it go, because I HATE chokers. Love the way they look, can't stand having something pressing against my throat. I was able to wear it for the picture, but *dramatic sigh* one has to suffer for one's art.
