Hooray, I finished this less than ONE WHOLE YEAR after I took the original photographs. That's pretty good for me; you don't even want to know how long I've been working on some of my other projects...
The background: I made a carving out of a cypress knee for the NC State Fair Craft Competition last year (and won a third place ribbon; not too shabby
[link] ) Because I'm apparently INSANE, I decided to add to the complicated process of woodcarving by photographing the process as I went along. After letting the photos sit for quite a few months, I finally decided that at the very least I needed to finish the animation before I got started on THIS year's submission. Make sure you have sound for this; I think it took almost as long to find the right music as it took to make the rest of the animation.
P.S. I'm pretty sure the photos of the castle were all still on the camera that was stolen from my house back in February. Chances are the thief deleted everything, but if you see any of them posted on another site, be a dear and call the police. Thankee.

And I've gotta say: I know from experience how hard it is to sync music to animation in flash. But in the very beginning when the carving starts, it is EXACTLY on the beat. Nice work there
