The scalloped edge to the top of the pumpkin and the cut-out pieces stuck to the top were supposed to be flames. I think having four of those battery powered tealights inside did more to suggest flames than anything else, but I like how the expression turned out.
My TARDIP pumpkin from last year was a break from my usual pattern of "Jack O'lantern designs that reflect my mindset", but I seem to have gone back to it now. In the last few months I've applied for (and gotten!) a promotion at work that will come with a lot of grown-up responsibility, built a music stand from scratch based on my memory of a design from my high-school years (got a second-place ribbon for it!), and played violin in a bluegrass performance with a) no experience with bluegrass, b) only a half-hour of practice with my fellow musicians right before the performance and c) no sheet music (and it went very well). I normally run from challenges like the devil was chasing me, but lately my attitude seems to be, "Stand back everybody. I got this." Let's see if I can keep this up.
Hee, I love the TEETH. And holy COW you've crammed a lot into the past couple months. It's not so much that your head's on fire with creativity as it's exploding from it.
