I posted a journal entry last year ([link]) discussing my jack o'lantern designs over the past few years, and how they turned out to be related to my mindset at the time. Obviously I've put WAY to much thought into this sort of thing, but why not continue the trend? My employer this year waited until a week before my termination date to give me another extension. Of two weeks. They apparently needed a bit more time to decide whether or not they plan to keep me around any longer. I think the title of this piece speaks for itself.
Nothing fancy here, just a regular jack o'lantern with two extra holes cut through the sides to hold a wooden dowel. The whole thing is suspended by wires, and it's placed to glare RIGHT into the faces of the trick-or-treaters who stop by tonight. And if candle inside catches the wooden dowel on fire then they'll REALLY have a scare.
