Those Clockwork Calico pendants I've started making always leave a bunch of odd-shaped bits of layered wood left over. Here's what I made out of a couple of them. It takes an insane amount of shaping and polishing to make that kind of drop shape; yet one more reason why I'd run back into a burning building to rescue my Dremel.
The beads at the top are knots of copper wire, salvaged from burnt-out Christmas lights. I wish I could say I salvaged the wire used to make the spirals, but I've yet to find any broken electronics with wire much thicker than a hair. As is I have to wrap several wires together to make one cord, and I seriously doubt that would make for a comfortable piercing.
