As complicated as these look, I've actually managed to make several pairs. Not quite mass-production, but still...
The tri-corner earrings and pendants were made with a similar method (long strips of walnut glued around a triangular strip of maple), but I had an odd-shaped maple strip leftover that I didn't want to waste (kinda running low on the maple), so I ended up with a not-quite three-sided blank. I wasn't sure the earrings cut from this would work, but then I tried cutting some watch faces in half, and the rest just fell into place.
Cutting the recesses for the watch faces and gears? STILL a gigantic pain. I don't know how people manage to do delicate inlay pieces so WELL.
Yes indeed! My etsy account hasn't been updated in a while, but my earrings are all $8, free shipping. (They're usually more, but I don't have to sit outside at a craft festival all day when I sell via the internet.
Anyone on DeviantArt who want to buy directly from me instead of through the store, just send me a note. Cheaper that way.
